Joint Professional Dinner
The Joint Professional Dinner is an event sponsored by the WBAI that recognizes outstanding women in their field and fosters an opportunity to allow professionals to network. This year's Joint Professional Dinner was held on November 3, 2011 at the Hotel Allegro. In 1997, at this event, “The Women with Vision” awards were first presented by the WBAI to honor and recognize women who have demonstrated visionary approaches in their professional endeavors and who have made a contribution to the well being and empowerment of women. Past recipients of “The Women with Vision” awards include Michele Obama - First Lady, Anita Alvarez - Chief Deputy, Cook County States Attorney’s Office; Carrie J. Hightman - Vice President & Chief Legal Officer; Nisource, Inc., Patrice Purcell DeCorrevont- Senior Vice President and Regional Manager, JP Morgan Chase & Co., Sister Rosemary Connelly - Executive Director of Misericordia - Carrie M. Austin - E. Lynn Grayson - Connie L. Lindsey - and Vikki L. Pryor. Sharon Eiseman, Assistant Attorney General & Land Acquistion Bureau Chief, State of Illinois; Dawn Geras, Founder & President, Save Abandoned Babies Foundation; Jody Raphael, Professor, Schiller DuCanto & Fleck Family Law Center, DePaul College of Law; and Linda VanHorn, Ph.D., R.D., Associate Dean & Professor, Dept. of Preventive Medicine, Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. The Joint Professional Dinner is always widely attended by diverse group of professionals.
