Board of Directors: Karie Valentino

Karie J. Valentino is a partner in the law firm of Anderson Rasor & Partners, LLP and defends medical malpractice claims against hospitals, physicians and nurses. She also practices product liability, premises liability, commercial litigation and general litigation. She has tried many personal injury cases to verdict in Chicago.

Ms. Valentino is active in several local bar associations including the Society of The Trial Lawyers and The Women’s Bar Association of Illinois where she serves on the Board of Directors.  She also serves on the Alumni Board of Directors for The John Marshall Law School.  Ms. Valentino has conducted multiple seminars at local hospitals for their staff, including nurses, for their continuing education requirements which addresses various medical and legal issues.

The seminar topics include: "Your Documentation: Does It Tell the Story?"; "The Legal Capacity to Give Consent"; "Know the Facts About Guardianship, Healthcare Surrogate Act and Healthcare Power of Attorney"; "The Facts About Power of Attorney for Healthcare" and a grand rounds lecture: "Medical Malpractice Lawsuits - Analysis and Prevention".  Ms. Valentino is a graduate of The John Marshall Law School. During law school, she served as an extern for the Honorable George M. Marovich of the Northern District of Illinois.  In 2009, Ms. Valentino was designated as an Illinois Super Lawyer “Rising Star.”
