Women's Bar Association of Illinois

The WBAI co-sponsored the Illinois Task Force on Gender Bias in the Courts which issued a 400 page report of its findings of gender bias toward women litigants and attorneys.  In 1992, the WBAI co-sponsored a Joint Committee on Gender Equality to implement the recommendation of the Task Force.  Chairs of that Task Force were Nancy J. Nicol, Esq., from the WBAI, the Honorable Sheila M. Murphy from the Illinois Bar Association and Leonard Jay Schager, Esq., from the Chicago Bar Association.
